4.5 Export and import of forms

From the Dashboard you can export folders and form versions and import them to another server – or to the same server to make a copy of them. The export/import file has the Zegeba file format .zff. In both export and import, you can select whether to include all versions of forms, only the last versions or only published versions.

Export a folder

  1. On the Dashboard, left-click on the striped icon next to the folder name.
  2. Select Export Folder on the menu.
  3. Select whether you wish to export all versions of all forms in the folder, or just the latest or the published versions.
    Press [Export].
  4. The .zff export file will be downloaded to your system’s folder for downloads. You may now for instance import the file to another server or send it by mail to a recipient elsewhere in the company.

Import a folder

  1. On the Dashboard, press the button [Import] on top of the folder list.
  2. Select the .zff file you wish to import.
  3. Select whether you wish to import all versions of all forms in the folder, or just the latest or the published versions.
    Press [Import].
  4. The folder will now be in the folder list.

Export a form

  1. On the Dashboard, click to open the version list of the form you wish to export.
  2. Left-click on the striped icon next to the form name (in the top left corner of the version list).
  3. Select Export Form on the menu.
  4. Select whether you wish to export all versions of the form, or just the latest or the published version.
    Press [Export].
  5. The .zff export file will be downloaded to your system’s folder for downloads.
  6. You may now for instance import the file to another server or send it by mail to a recipient elsewhere in the company.

Import a form

  1. On the Dashboard, press the button [Import] on top of the folder list.
  2. Select the .zff file you wish to import.
  3. Select whether you wish to import all versions of the form, or just the latest or the published version.
    Press [Import].
  4. Choose Import Folder if you want to create a new folder and place the form in this
    – or –
    Choose Import Content to to import the form to an existing folder.
    You must then select a Destination Folder.
  5. Select which version you would like to import (Latest, Published or All) and press [Import].
  6. You may now change the form and folder name to something more appropriate, if you wish.

Export a form version

  1. On the Dashboard, click to open the version list of the form you wish to export.
  2. Left-click on the striped icon next to the version number V#.
  3. Select Export Version on the menu.
  4. The .zff export file will be downloaded to your system’s folder for downloads. You may now for instance import the file to another server or send it by mail to a recipient elsewhere in the company.

Import a form version

  1. On the Dashboard, press the button [Import] on top of the folder list.
  2. Select the .zff file you wish to import.
  3. The form will now be placed in a new folder in the folder list and the version number will be set to V1.

 

Note! Zegeba also provides another form of export; the export of captured data. See Managing:  4.7 Export of data from forms. You can also use the Designer’s Copy and Paste functions on the File menu to copy forms/elements via the browser. See Designing:  2.2 The File menu.
