7.0 Using multimedia in form design
There are several ways a form designer can add an image, a video or a sound clip to a Zegeba form:
- from a file uploaded to the Dashboard’s Resources
- from a file on the web, accessed by its URL, i.e. a https:// web address
For images we recommend that you use the Multimedia Label element designed especially for such content. This element does not show a text label in the form or on PDFs; only an image.
Some other element types such as Text Label, Text Input and Number can still be used for showing pictures, but the placement and size on the page is more difficult to control.
The Designer has a media selector accessed from the [Select Multimedia] button. This button can be found in the Properties – Styling tab of the element types mentioned above and gives you direct access to the Dashboard’s Resources from the Designer. From here you can upload files, enter external links and base64 images and add these to the form design.
Videos and audio files are best handled using the Link element, with a URL to the file in Resources or on an external web site.
