Many of these settings are rarely used, except for the Sync and the Server settings if problems arise.
Server
Upload raw data dump to support – press this if you have problems syncing your data to the Zegeba server. Send the code given along with information about your issue to Zegeba Support.
Test server settings and connection – press this to test if your device (tablet or phone) has contact with the server.
Sync
Syncing means uploading your data to the Zegeba server and downloading any changes made in form designs or by other users.
Sync my data only – this option is checked when you first start using Zegeba Forms. It means that you will only see your own data (that is data registered in form reports), and not those made by other users. Users with the role of Data User will only see their own data, even if this option is unchecked. If Data Managers or Admins uncheck this option, they will download other users’ data, too. Data Managers will only download data for the forms they have been given access to, but Admins will download all data on the server. This may take a while, and sync may have to be restarted several times for all data to arrive.
Tip! If you are an Admin user and only want to download data from a few forms, create a dummy user with a Data Manager role and give this user only access to the forms you wish to check. Logout as the Admin user and log in again as this dummy user to see the reports you’re looking for. In the Dashboard Admins can always see all data on the server.
Automatically sync data and forms – The default setting here is On; the app will sync the data for you and the frequency is normally every 15 minutes. Even when this is selected you can start a sync manually by pressing the button with the round double arrow on the toolbar. Uncheck this opiton to turn off automatic syncing and only use manual. You can also use the manual sync lever on the toolbar to do this.
Sync interval in minutes – enter the number of minutes between each automatic sync. 15 is the default value.
Media
Upload of media – by “media” we mean photos and videos entered in forms by the user. These can be large files and will by default be uploaded automatically when the app is synced. Choose “Upload in background while capturing data” to start the upload of these before the entire report is finished. Choose “Manual upload – on summary page” to stop the upload of media for a while. You can later restart this by selecting the default option “Automatic” again.
