Published:

The context title and description is the information the user sees in the Context list in the Zegeba app; the Task title and the description in grey below it:

The description contains the information we would like to add for each task issued by this task template. It is filled in in the Create New Context screen in the Dashboard and is displayed in the Dashboard’s list of contexts of this context type:

In the app the data filled in displayed in the Context list and the Context Details. Typical types of meta data are: Date, Project name, Customer, Site, Work type, etc.

In the Context Type editor’s 4 – Context Description tab you define the information that will be shown to the user.

  • In both the Context Title and Description you can enter text as well as parameters from the Context Properties and Meta Data lists to the right
  • The Context Properties are commonly used properties to describe contexts.
State shows the present context state.
Creator shows the latest user to make one of the changes mentioned above
  • Meta Data lists the fields you have defined in the Meta Data tab
  • In both Context Title and Context Description:
place the cursor in the field and click on parameters from Context Properties and Meta data to add them to the place where the cursor is situated.
Use dividing characters (such as spaces or “-“) or explanatory texts if needed for clarity’s sake, such as “State”

The Context Description tab for the example in the two pictures at the top looks like this:

When the Context Property State was added to the Context Description, it was automatically converted to ${state}.

When the Meta Data Customer was added to the Context Title, it was automatically converted to ${meta.customer}. We could have typed Customer: in front of it.

Note: If your meta data contains a number, such as a serial number, we advise you to put an explanatory text in front of it, such as “Serial number: ${meta.serialNumber}” to make it clear what this number is about.
