7.4 Editing subcontexts in a context

In the Context Builder, accessed from the Context Type screen, Admin and Tasks Admin users can edit the context information first entered in the Builder.

  1. Select the relevant context type in the Dashboard’s side menu and
    find the context you wish to edit: the primary one on top or one of the contexts below it.
    Use the search bar on top to search for it if you can’t see it right away.
  2. Press the Edit Context icon (pencil) to open the Context Builder.

  1. Press [Expand all] to see all subcontexts and tasks defined for this context.
    The context on top is the main context, while the contexts below it are subcontexts relative to the main context.

Moving contexts

  1. Click on a context to see its toolbar.
  2. Click on the toolbar’s Up arrow (˄) or Down arrow (˅) to move it up or down in the builder, one step at a time.
    – or –
  3. Press the 3-striped menu icon to the right on the toolbar
    and choose Set as First to move it to the top or Set as Last to move it to the bottom.

Copying subcontexts

  1. Click on a subcontext to see its toolbar.
  2. Press the 3-striped menu icon to the right and select Duplicate to create a copy directly below it.
    – or –
  3. Select Copy to copy it to the clipboard.
  4. Go to the subcontext where you want to place the copy as a subcontext,
    click on its 3-striped menu and select Paste to paste the context or task there.

Note that the first two options on the menu, Copy and Cut, places the subcontext on the clipboard so it can be pasted into a context.



Deleting subcontexts

  1. Click on a subcontext to see its toolbar.
  2. Press the 3-striped menu icon to the right and select Remove to remove it from the context above.
    – or –
  3. Select Cut to cut it from its original place and copy it to the clipboard.
  4. Go to the context where you want to place the copy,
    click on its 3-striped menu and select Paste to paste the context there as a subcontext.


Creating new subcontexts

  1. Click on the context you wish to create a subcontext under.
  2. To create a new subcontext under the one you have selected,
    click the ‘+’ icon (Add element) and follow the instructions under “Adding subcontext” in Managing: 7.2 Creating and copying contexts.
  3. Press [SAVE CHANGES] in the Context Builder when done.


Changing context details

  1. Click on the context you wish to edit.
  2. Click on its pencil icon (Edit Context) to open the Edit Context window.

This is where you can change the state of a context or the available or due dates (if those date fields are added in the Context Type editor).

  1. Press [Save changes].

Note! You must also press [SAVE CHANGES] in the Context Builder to save all the changes registered there.
