9.1 Data in the Form Versions screen

Published:
Updated:

In Zegeba we use the term “data” for the data the users enters – “captures” – in their forms, creating form reports. When their data is synced from their apps to the server, the data appears in the Form Versions screen, under the form version that was used, as well as in the Data View screen – see Designing: 9.3 Find data in the Data Views screen. There you’ll find all data on the server, but in the Form Versions screen you will see only the data belonging to this form.

When you click on a version bar it opens up to show the data captured in it, as in V2 (version 2) in the picture below. You can press the [Expand All] button to open all versions in one go.

When you open the Form versions screen, the captures will be sorted by “Created Date Time”, with the latest created on top. This is the time when the capture was first synced to the server. Press “Created Date Time” to sort the captures in the opposite order with the first capture on top. You may some times want to sort the list by the last time anything was synced. Press “Last Synced Date Time” to do this. You can also sort by Data ID, Edits, Description, and Last Edited By.

Search

To search for a certain group of captures, click inside the search bar to see a list of search codes:

In this example we wanted to see all captures from December 2021 through May 2022:

The search finds the captures that matches the search string in all versions of this form.

Note: The search in the form version screen is case-sensitive. A search for “Line” will not find “line”.
