Entry Details Drawer

The Entry Details Drawer is the one place for everything about a single entry: its details, every saved edit, its attachments, and every action you can take on it, without leaving the table you came from. It replaces the old expanding row in the Entries view.

Before You Start

• You need access to a view that lists entries, such as the Entries view.
• Editing and deleting from the drawer require the same permissions as in the table.

Steps

1. Open the drawer from any entry row, in whichever way suits you:
   • Double-click the row.
   • Right-click the row and select Details.
   • Open the row's ⋮ action menu and select Details.
2. Read the header. The # ID chip copies the entry's ID when you click it, next to the form template name. The state pill shows the entry's current state, and the ⓘ opens who created and last edited the entry, with its activity and context connections.
3. Use the tabs:
   • Edits lists every saved edit, newest first, with who made it and when. The latest carries a Current pill. Select the eye on any edit to preview it read-only in a new tab; the pencil on the current edit opens the entry for editing.

• Attachments lists the files uploaded to the entry. Download one file, or Download All for everything at once, without opening the entry.
  

4. Act from the footer. Every action from the table's action menu is here:
   • View and Edit open the entry, read-only or for editing.
   • The Export menu holds Export, Open PDF, Download PDF and Send PDF; see Send an Entry as a PDF by Email.
   • The ⋯ menu holds Archive and Delete. Archiving closes the drawer, since archived entries are hidden from the active view.

Edits, not overwrites

Each save adds a new edit to the entry rather than replacing what was there, and the latest edit is the one in use. Previewing an earlier edit never changes anything: editing always happens on the current one, and saving adds another.

FAQs

Can I restore an earlier edit?
No. The edit history is read-only: previewing an earlier edit never changes anything, and editing always continues from the current one. Saving adds a new edit on top.

Why did the drawer close when I archived the entry?
Archived entries are hidden from the active view, so the drawer closes with the row. Find the entry again under the archived filter, where it can be unarchived.

Can I change the entry's state from the drawer?
No. The state pill in the header is read-only. States change through the entry's own workflow, not from here.
