New Features and Enhancements In Version 4.11

This update brings enhanced flexibility and usability with new features.

Note! The software on our customers’ Zegeba servers are upgraded individually to new versions according to the setup and requirements of each customer. Your server version number can be found in the About options in the App and the Dashboard.

In Activities

Auto-Update Form Version in Activities

Published form versions now auto-update in all linked tasks/activities by default – keeping everything in sync.
You can still override and pick a specific form version if needed. Read more: 6.5 Adding Forms To An Activity Template

Context Meta Data in Activity Template Messages

You can now use context meta data in custom messages within activity templates, making notifications and instructions more dynamic.
6.2 Adding Activity States For An Activity Template

Assign Users on Context Import ( Ready 19.08.2025 )

When importing a context, you can now assign users directly to its activities, saving you a follow‑up step.

Bulk Actions in Activity Tree View

You can now run bulk actions when the lowest level in the tree view is an activity, making updates faster and easier.

In the App

Improved Cancel Button Behavior

We’ve added a confirmation step when you press the “Cancel” button while working on a form. This makes it consistent with the cancel button on the summary page and helps avoid accidental exits.
No more having to go back to the dashboard to clean up forms stuck in “recovery” – smoother and safer canceling all around!

In the Dashboard

User Management Update - 4.9.2025

We’ve simplified and made user management safer:

  • The delete user option is gone (no more risk of losing historic data).
  • You can now only deactivate users, and easily reactivate them when needed.
  • If you try to add a user that already exists but is deactivated, you’ll be asked to reactivate instead, no more duplicates.

Export Filtered Table Data

From the table view, you can now export data as Excel or CSV, including all visible columns and records, perfect for exporting filtered or refined datasets.

11.5 Export Table Data

Improved Bulk Actions

  • Bulk Assign Users: You can now add one or more users to already assigned activities in bulk.
  • Bulk Unarchive: Quickly bring archived activities back with the new bulk unarchive option.

In the Designer

Fold Elements In Minor Edit Mode

When you’re in the designer using minor edit mode, you can right-click the main form element to collapse all elements. It’s a simple and efficient way to navigate large forms during editing.

Relative URLs for Dynamic Lists

Dynamic lists in JSON now use relative URLs, making them easier to work with across environments and deployments.

Auto‑Scale Images in Grid & Repeats

Images in grids and repeats can now auto‑scale to the available width, so they display larger and clearer.
The default is still 50%, but you can change it to auto‑scale.

Date Picker Start Day Fix

We fixed an issue where changing the “start day of week” setting on the main form element didn’t affect the date picker.

Other Improvements

Archived Data Indicator in SQL

SQL exports now include a column showing whether an entry is archived, making it easier to filter and manage your data.

Created By Column in User Export

User list exports now include a “Created By” column so you can see who added each user.

New in Context Types – User & Email Lists!

You can now add metadata fields with a list of users and a list of user emails in context types.

… We’ve made lots of tweaks and fixes to Search, Home Views, PDF bulk actions, plus many other improvements across the dashboard and forms to make everything smoother and more intuitive.

Note! If the new Zegeba version has just been installed on your server and you are using Zegeba in a browser, you may have to press Ctrl-F5 (in Windows) or Cmd-Shift-R for Refresh (on Macs) in the Dashboard or the Designer to get the new features. This forces the browser to download the latest Zegeba version from the server instead of displaying the version stored in its memory cache. But even if you don’t press this, the new features will show up the second time you open the Dashboard/Designer after the new version has been installed.
