New Features and Enhancements In Version 4.9

We’re thrilled to announce new features designed to make your experience with Zegeba even more seamless and efficient.


Zegeba server software is upgraded individually based on each customer’s setup and requirements. You can check your server version in the About section of the Zegeba App or Dashboard.

Most servers are now being upgraded from version 4.8 to 4.9. If your server was upgraded from a version earlier than 4.8, please review the Release Notes for versions prior to 4.8 as well.


In the App

Streamlined and Intuitive Layout for Forms and Tasks

A cleaner, more organized layout for tasks in the app, making it more intuitive to create new forms and view existing ones.

Refined Layout for Tasks and Context List

Updated the layout with a more compact, clearer pathing for tasks and contexts, along with adjusted text size, weight, and other visual improvements.

🎉 New Task Calendar View

Exciting News! Our latest app update brings you the powerful new Calendar View, making task management more seamless and visual than ever!

What’s New:

  • Comprehensive Task Views: Easily switch between Day, Week, Month, or Yearly List to see your tasks the way you want.
  • Interactive Experience: Enjoy a more organized and visual approach to tracking and managing all your tasks.

Corrected Display of Edited Data

We’ve fixed an issue where the date and user details for form changes were showing incorrectly.

Enhanced Sync Status Visibility

See a count of synced files directly in the top navigation bar—no more digging into settings!

Customizable App Menu Visibility

Easily show, hide, or disable Contexts, Forms, and Ad Hoc Forms from the new App Settings panel in dashboard settings.

Green checkmark in the navigation bar is smaller

The green checkmark for pages in the navigation bar is smaller and better suited. This checkmark only comes ut when the page has answered elements.



In the Dashboard

🎉 New Task Calendar

Introducing our new Dashboard Task Calendar that brings enhanced visibility and management for tasks with due dates or recurrence.

Key Features:

  • Comprehensive View: See all your tasks in Day, Week, Month, and Year formats.
  • Filtering & Search: Effortlessly filter by Task Template or user, and easily search tasks.
  • Customization: Set your preferred start day of the week and choose between 12-hour or 24-hour clock display. Optionally include weekends.
  • Visual Clarity: Add custom colors to task templates for quick identification in your calendar.
  • Interactivity: Click tasks directly within the calendar to View, Edit, Assign, Duplicate, or Delete.
  • Detailed Insight: View task times, titles, and assignees at a glance, with tooltips providing extended information.

🎉 Recurring Tasks

Activate the due date on a task and choose to make it recur on a schedule that fits your workflow: Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly.
Remember that this will loop the same task.

  • Custom Intervals: Set defaults for the task template or adjust them per task.
  • Flexibility: Skip weekends, set an end date, and control task visibility in the app with “visible from-to” settings.
  • Advanced Options: Customize weeks, months, and years for endless combinations.

🎉 New Import Context

Now you can easily create new contexts and tasks directly from an Excel file.
Just upload your file, map your context and task metadata, and watch as your spreadsheet transforms into actionable tasks.

  • Multi-Context Creation: Each sheet becomes a Context, and the rows in each sheet become tasks within that context.
  • Effortless Metadata Mapping: Seamlessly map context and task metadata. Plus, enjoy automatic mapping when a metadata field and an Excel column share the same name.

Added Created and Last Edited Info on Form Templates

Form version cards now display Created and Last Edited details for easier tracking.

Enhanced User List Export with Custom Fields

If you have custom fields in your user list - export now includes all custom fields from the user database.

Optional Lock Form State Setting

Choose to disable the “Lock Form” option within the form state settings.

Refreshed Login, Reset Password, and Welcome Screens

Enjoy an updated look across all login views in the dashboard and app.

Configurable User View in Settings Panel

Customize what to display on the user cards in Settings > Users. 3.1 The Users Screen

Show Folder, Form and Version ID in Dashboard

You can now display the Folder ID of form templates, along with Form ID and Version ID, directly in forms. This powerful update allows you to:

  • Easily trace the origin of a form back to its template.
  • Use IDs dynamically in forms for smarter workflows.
  • Stay in control with configurable settings—enable or disable this feature as needed in the settings panel. 6.4 Description Formula

Customize message when assigning a person to a Task

When assigning a task for a user, you get the option to customize the message. this is only possible then the “notify new assignee” is selected. Enter meta data from the task in the subject or message and press send when finished.
The new assignee will get the notification in a mail with the link to the task.

Archiving Tasks

Admins and Archive Managers can now archive tasks/activities just like folders, forms, and data. Keep things tidy and organized.

Notify assignee when available

Task template can now setup to notify assignment on availability. This will notify the assignee when the task is available in their app.
Note: If the availability date changes after assignment, the date for notification does not change!




In the Designer

Updated Layout and Text in Form Element “Other” Tab

Reorganized the order, layout, and text for options in the “Other” tab of the top form element for improved clarity.

Customize the answer alignment on input fields

The alignment for answers inserted in Text input, Text input area, Decimal and Number-elements can be adjusted to auto, left, right and center.

State Lock Improvement

Enhanced the “State Action” button by adding the Lock option. Users can now lock their forms directly from the action button.




In Tasks

Help Text Added for Task Templates

Add help text to task templates, accessible by clicking the “?” icon in the app.

Bulk Task Deletion

Easily delete multiple tasks at once with the new “Delete Selected Tasks” button next to Create and Edit.




In PDFs

Enhanced Bulk PDF Selection Options

Quickly Select All or Deselect All pages for quicker selection.




… and we have also implemented many other technical and performance improvements boosting the power of the Zegeba platform!

If the new Zegeba version has just been installed on your server and you’re using Zegeba in a browser, you might need to refresh the Dashboard or Designer to access the latest features.

•	On Windows: Press Ctrl+F5
•	On Mac: Press Cmd+Shift+R

This refresh forces the browser to download the latest version from the server instead of using the cached one. If you don’t manually refresh, the new features will still appear the next time you open the Dashboard or Designer after the update.
