5.1 Defining Activity Templates
Note on Terminology:
We are in the process of transitioning from the word Task to Activity across the Zegeba platform.
While some areas of the system and older documentation may still mention Tasks, they refer to the same concept as Activities.
From now on, please consider Activities as the standard term for what was previously called a Task.
This change is part of our effort to better reflect real-world usage and to keep terminology consistent moving forward.
You must create an Activity Template on your server before you can start creating Activities.
Activity Templates contain settings for form names, prefilled meta data (also known as “activity details”), limits on how many times a form can be filled out, activity states, due dates, and activity availability.
A template may typically be called Inspection, Service, or the name of a site or vessel.
In the Activity Template Editor available in the Dashboard, Admins and Activity Admins can design their own templates.
This editor is described in the next chapter: 6.0 Managing activity templates.
