Import of file links
For Zegeba 4.6 and earlier: If you copied the folder/forms to a different server and the forms contain links to files in the previous server’s Resources, you must download those files manually and upload them to the new server’s Resources. In addition you must manually change the file links in the forms to point to the new server.
New in Zegeba v. 4.8: If you copied the folder/forms to a different server and the forms contain links to multimedia files in the previous server’s Resources, they will appear automatically in the new forms IF the structure and content in Resources are the same in the two servers and IF the multimedia files were entered for the first time in v 4.8. This applies also to file URLs entered in Link elements, see Designing: 6.6 Links / Go to / Actions. However, the server names in Dynamic Lists’ Reference fields will have to be changed manually.
If the files are not in the target server’s Resources, you must manually copy them there. If they are placed in Resources folders with the same names as on the source server AND the multimedia elements in the form were created in v 4.8 or later. you can then open the forms and see the multimedia files appear where they are supposed to be.
If they multimedia files are placed in other folders on the target server, you must open the form designs and add them manually.
Note! Zegeba also provides another form of export; the export of captured data. See Managing: 9.6 Export of data to a file. You can also use the Designer’s Copy and Paste functions on the File menu to copy forms/elements via the browser. See Designing: 2.2 The File menu.
