2.5 Clearing The Browser Cache

Published:
Updated:

Sometimes you may have to purge the cached Zegeba Dashboard and Designer pages in the browser, for instance when you have a new version of Zegeba installed and find that you do not have the latest functionality installed.

First: In the Dashboard or the Designer, try pressing Ctrl-F5 (on Mac Command-F5) to force a new download of the page from the server.

If this doesn’t work, you can try to clear the browser cache to remove the stored page in the browser:

Disclaimer, please read

If you clear data in the following manner, you will permanently delete any saved local data, be it data captures made from the Dashboard or changes to a form design in the Designer . Please ensure that all data that you want to keep is sent to the server and form designs are saved before proceeding. Once this data is deleted, it is unrecoverable.

Google Chrome

For the Google Chrome browser, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the following URL:
    chrome://settings/content/all

  2. In Settings, enter the name of your Zegeba server in the search box.
Here we have searched for the server “demo”:

  3. If this list contains just the Zegeba site you want, as in the picture above,
press [Clear displayed data] to clear its data and cookies from the site.

  4. If there are several sites in this list,
click the right arrow of the one you want to open it’s individual Settings screen and select [Clear data].

  5. Now you can open the Dashboard or the Designer again.
Other browsers have similar functionality for clearing site data in their Settings.
