11.0 Home View
Home View
Home View came as part of the v4.10 update and is the first step toward Zegeba’s new look.
Using Home View opens up the possibility for handling data in a whole new way. It’s not just a new look — with Advanced Search and Views, you can find specific data faster than before.
Views
By default, all users have two folders in the views section. One is “all data.” Under this folder, there are three views sorted by type (Entries, Activities, and Context).
The other folder is “my data.” In this folder, both the entries created by the logged-in user and the activities the logged-in user is assigned to are shown.
By creating custom views, you can fetch specific entries, activities, or contexts based on name, status, or even values inside a specific entry.
Bulk edit
By selecting two activities so that the bulk menu appears, you can click “Edit”. This opens a new window from the right, giving you the option to bulk edit. The first tab is “Info”. The areas you can edit here are Activity State and Metadata.
Only metadata fields that are common to both activities will appear here.
If you select two activities from different templates (and none of the metadata fields are the same), then no metadata fields will be available for bulk editing.
In the next tab, you’ll find Assignment. By default, the option is set to “No change”. You also have the options “Reassign” and “Clear”.
When you click Reassign, you’ll see a list of users on the server. The users you select here will be assigned once you click “Save and Close”. In the “Notification” tab, you can choose to notify the new assignees and also add a custom message.
View entries
Home provides the ability to view an overview of all entries within an activity without needing to open the app.
The second column is called Entries. If the activity contains one or more entries, you can click the arrows to display all the entries within the selected activity.
Each entry has its own menu, where you can open, edit, archive, open PDF, download PDF, or delete it.
Advanced Search
Advanced search lets you search for specific data across all data. That means data from an activity like metadata, name, and status, but also values inside a specific entry.
Here’s an example:
If I want to show all entries where the element “element_size” is 4 meters, I can search like this: element_size = “4 meter”.
Home View will then show me the entries where the element is 4 meters.

Home View makes it possible to generate PDFs straight from the Dashboard. You no longer need to open the app to export a PDF.
By opening the menu on an activity, you get the options to open or generate a PDF. Clicking Open PDF opens it in a new browser tab.
Home View also allows for Bulk PDF. By selecting two or more entries, you can generate a single PDF containing all the entries.
Bulk PDF also works on Activities in Home View, where you can choose which entries in the activity should be included.
Form Position
In the overview of entries, you can see where each entry is located. Context is marked in blue, activity is marked in green, and form is marked in yellow.
Dark Mode
Home View supports dark mode. You can turn it on or off from the menu in the top right corner.
