The Zegeba Dashboard now contains a handy feature for retrieving data that you have entered but for some reason have not been able to save. If you have opened a form for data capture, entered some data for at least 10 seconds and then closed it without saving, the data will still be stored in the browser’s local storage as “autosaved”. If there are any instances of such data in your browser, you will see a number behind the Dashboard tab AUTO SAVED DATA:
Click on the AUTO SAVED DATA tab to see a list of the captured data:
Click on a data capture to get a menu where you can select to open the form again to Continue Edit Data. You may then save it as a normal capture in the form.
There is only one autosaved data capture per form. When you next open for data capture a form listed as having autosaved data, you will be asked if you want to load this data into the form. If you reply [Yes] or [No], the data will no longer be listed in the autosave list. If you press [Cancel], the data can still be found here.
These data will be stored in this browser when you log into Zegeba on this PC until you load them into a form or delete them manually:
– Press the button [Delete All Auto Saved Data] to delete all the captures listed, or
– click on the individual lines of data captures and select Delete Auto Saved Data.
Note: It is very important that you check this list from time to time and delete autosaved data that you don’t need. When the browser’s storage is full (of Zegeba data and perhaps many other open tabs), you may experience unusual things – such as getting a blank screen when you try to open a form.
Note: in most browsers the list of autosaved data will be updated automatically. In the browsers Edge and Internet Explorer you must refresh the screen to get an updated list.
