A task is a specified job where one can define forms and attached files, tasks states from start to completion, task availability and due date. A user with the role of Admin og Task Admin creates task templates in the Task Template editor and then assign individual tasks based on the templates to groups of workers. The start data (called meta data) for a task such as the name of a customer, can be automatically filled in a form. Read more on this in Managing: 5 Managing tasks.
Tasks without associated forms
Tasks usually consists of forms to be filled out, but it may just involve “states” to be checked off in a workflow chain. If this is the case, you will see in the Next app some instructions to be completed and states to be set. When you are done with your part, the task will be transferred to the next worker in the chain, or registered as complete.
Tasks with associated forms
This is by far the most common type of tasks in Zegeba. You are asked to fill in partly — or entirely — one or more forms, and perhaps set various “states” for the form or the task as you go along. When you are done with your part, the task will be transferred to the next worker in the chain, or registered as complete. Read more on this in the following sections.
Tasks within contexts
If your company has started to use contexts and defined tasks within these contexts, the Next user will see their context types in the Next app menu, and can click through the contexts to find their tasks. See more information on this on the following pages.
